Thank you, Lisa!

My precious God-daughter, Clare, last April!

Notice my new header? It was an anniversary gift from my old roomie, Lisa! Isn't it fabulous?!

Lisa was my "practice spouse" (we used to joke) for three years before JC and I got married. We were friends ever since prom in high school. I was a mere sophomore and she was a wise junior sitting at my table. Upon having hair issues in the bathroom, I asked her for some help and we've been great friends ever since! After graduating from Texas A&M (whoop!) we shared an apartment together while we taught at our perspective Catholic schools. We often marveled at how similar her freshmen were to my first graders... Going down memory lane is making me realize how much I miss Lisa! Here are some things I miss-

1) Her ability to go into my closet and put an outfit together that I didn't even know existed. (That goes? Really?)

2) Watching "Sex in the City"- but just the City part...

3) Grading parties

4) Sitting on our balcony drinking wine...random strangers walking by...

5) Hitting the pool after school.

6) her backrubs (the best!)

7) The difference between our cooking styles. Me=find recipe, measure carefully, reread recipe, measure carefully. Lis- ummmm, that looks good. That might work... (Both methods good, might I add!)

8) DON'T THROW THE SQUASH OFF THE BALCONY!

9) Wednesday night Bible study and Praise and Worship sessions in our living room! Praying with, for and over each other.

10) Her LAUGH! Lisa is so much fun and makes everything a party. Her wittiness never ceases to amaze me!
