The art of folding towels

I recently learned that I did not know the proper way to fold sheets and towels. Well, to be fair, I've always known there must be a better way to fold fitted sheets, but couldn't figure it out! While living with dear friends this spring (after our house sold, but school hadn't ended) my friend June taught me the trick.

Fitted Sheets: Picture this. Lay the sheet on the (clean) floor top side down. Fold the lower half up INTO the top half- tucking the bottom pockets into the top pockets. Then fold the right side over to the left, again tucking the pockets into the left pockets. Then you can fold it like normal and it ends up nice and neat!

But towels! I had no idea I was folding them wrong! UNTIL I read this post. (See #3 and then read the comments for advice.) This blog, by the way, is my favorite stranger blog to follow. Stranger as in- I don't know her and am a random stalker! I never thought I'd get into that, but this girl is smart, funny, and loves Jesus! I've laughed so hard I've cried reading her posts! Check her out. It's called Conversion Diary because it started with her story of converting from Atheist to Christian to Catholic. It's a beautiful and fascinating story.

But back to my story- after reading her blog post, I ran to my linen closet- pulled everything out- and refolded it all. I only wish I had taken a before picture. Isn't it pretty? :) (It's the little things that make you happy, right?)
