Choose Life!

Have you seen these license plates?

I have.  I thought they were cute.  I mentally high-fived the message.  I did not know their full purpose.

When we attended the information meeting at our latest adoption agency, they informed us of the good these license plates do.  The funds go to help women with crisis pregnancies who have chosen adoption.

It takes money to have a baby, and often women are unable to work the entire length of their pregnancy.  Enter "Choose Life!"  Women who are creating an adoption plan for their babies can receive a monthly stipend to help cover rent, medical bills, maternity clothes, or more!

This is a growing movement.  It is currently in Florida, Oklahoma, Alabama, Pennsylvania and more.  Click HERE to see if it is in your state.

In Adopted for Life by Russell Moore, he explains that we all have stake in adoption because 1) we are adopted by the Lord and 2) we are commanded to care for widows and orphans in James 1:26.  Our new agency explained that they see widows in this verse as single-mothers.

As I reflected on Moore's book in this post, I noted at the end that we are ALL called to promote adoption in some way.  These Choose Life license plates are such a simple and visible way to promote life and help aid adoptions!   Go to the Choose Life website and order yours today!

****UPDATE!!!  Thanks to this kind blogger, I can tell you that even if your state doesn't offer the license plate, you can still purchase a "show" license plate or sticker and the money goes to the same great cause!   Go here for info.

Our state has these license plates...I love what they stand for but I just do not like the look of them.

I know, I'm a horrible person, but I just think they could have come up with such a better design.

I hope I don't burn in hell. ;)

I know what Sew is saying but I like that they stand out. You can't miss them! GIMH and her husband were instrumental in getting them in our state.

I have one in my rear window!

Even if your state doesn't have the official plates, you can buy the "show" plate and the proceeds still go to the same place!
