I so appreciate all of your prayers and comments. I'm pleasantly surprised at how calm I am. We've prayed the Lord will place a hedge-guard of protection around our hearts, and He is faithful. We are praying, but not anxious. Of course, we're looking forward to finding out more information!
As I mentioned, I'm visiting my Grandad up North with my Mom. Today we drove out to the shore for a couple of days. The last time we were all here together was 2005 and I was hoping for a proposal soon! I was laying on the beach, obsessively dreaming about my beloved. Now here I am, and as we walked through a souvenir store for a beach chair, I found myself drawn to those silly personalized license plates. I looked at girl names and searched for the names we love.
The day I returned from trip in 2005, my man was waiting for me with an engagement ring.
Will my return trip this year be a life-changing event as well?
My heart hopes!

Wouldn't THAT be a story! I'm hoping!!
I hope this trip is as blessed as the previous one! I'm praying for you.
So exciting!! Keep us posted, I am praying!
Oh, how I'd love to see that ending! I am so hopeful for you, but like you, I am also trying to remain guarded.... Prayers, prayers!!
AHHH!
ok, so WHEN exactly are you supposed to talk to the social worker? (you know, so I can stop hitting "refresh" on your blog every 5 minutes)
Oh A, how I love you! :) I don't know when she'll call. I figure she'll call if she has news, or towards the end of the day to report no news.
I'm reminded of the imagary about waiting in Calm My Anxious Heart. She compares it to a rocking chair- leaning forward to eagerly anticipate, leaning backwards to relax and trust the Lord. Back and forth- keeping the rhythm and balance. That's a pretty accurate description of my heart. (Love that Linda Dillow!)
oh, that's great, L. Seriously, what a tricky yet important balance. Mrs. Dillow rocks! :) love you, L!
