To home-school or not to home-school,
that is her question!
that is her question!
She asked me to write a post explaining our reasons to home-school. I worked really hard on it, and hope you hop on over to check it out and leave a comment. I'd love to know your thoughts. I'm excited about this series. I think it will be great!!
Update- will you pray for my heart, ladies? I'm struggling with trusting Him right now in the midst of the adoption uncertainties. Nothing has happened- I'm just over-analyzing and driving myself crazy! Thanks!

Love this!! Can't wait to read more!
Okay, praying indeed! I know what that's like to be worried and anxious about stuff...often I am too much "Martha." Just remind yourself that when your baby is in your arms it will all be worth it!! Not much longer to wait!
You did a great job!
I'm praying Lauren!
Praying..!!!!1
Praying Lauren!
What a great, thoughtful, well-organized post about homeschooling! I'm a former homeschooler, and I can't recommend it enough.
May God bless you and protect you from anxiety. I'm praying for you.
What do you mean adoption uncertainties?? Have you not heard from M lately, or is there more??
For moral support, you may want to check out LifeHope's blog right before her baby L was born. The BMom, J, was also MIA for a while. I tend to think (though I really have no idea what they go through) that they sometimes need some time alone with baby before the birth, in order to truly "let go" after delivery. It's not necessarily a bad sign.
Will be praying.
If we do end up adopting a child or by some gracious miracle have our own baby...I've thought about homeschooling preschool and maybe first and second grade. I have so many resources to use and knowledge that I think I could do it and do it well.
TO answer your question on my own recent post...I'm going to be student teaching pre-k for eight weeks and second grade for eight weeks. I've subbed at the pre-k school so I already know the teacher and the staff. How awesome is that? God is good.
I will be reading about your thoughts on homeschooling. I know of one good Catholic family who homeschooled and their oldest son just got ordained a priest. His younger brother is very devout too...won't be surprised if he follows his big brother's footsteps. Their mother must be so thankful.
Thanks for sharing!
I left a comment on the other blog, but wanted to let you know that I am keeping you in my prayers as you get closer to bringing your baby boy home. :)
I really enjoyed your homeschool post!
I too commented on Lisa's blog... hang in there, Lauren! You are an amazing woman of grace, you can do this!!
Amazing points about homeschooling, Lauren. And don't worry- we are all praying for you!
OK I didn't mean to alarm anyone! Really- nothing happened, just over-analyzing! Truth is- adoption is always uncertain and it. is. so. hard.
Today is an hour by hour process of trusting the Lord. OK- I can trust Him until 1:00. At which point, I will decide to trust Him until 2!!! At this moment, that sounds much easier than trying to look ahead and trust Him through finalization.
great post we also will homeschool and I love your reasons.
Unfortunately adoption is always uncertain, praying all remains well. :)
Praying for you, sweets!!! Going to read your homeschooling article right now!
you are in my prayers!
Praying! Your "faith muscles" will be rock solid when this is over! Go girl!
LOVE LOVE LOVE the homeschooling post!!! I agree with every single point! Thank you for taking the time to write this out, I will definitely refer back to it in the future and cannot wait to hear about the curriculum you are so excited about!
