Ode to Abigail

I think that I shall never see,
a happier little family.
A family who is now complete,
with a baby to love who is so sweet.


A baby with curly hair
a beautiful smile she does wear!
Dressed in pink from head to toe,
a more charming baby we don't know.


The final adoption day is here,
the family gathers to bring good cheer.
February 21st is the big date,
Mommy & Daddy just can't wait!


We sit in the courtroom and do not budge,
The bailiff says, "Here comes the judge!"
He bangs the gavel with careful measure,
and then he grants us a special treasure.


A cherished angel we did gain,
into the family of ________.
And so on this day we now hail
our precious little Abigail.
