It's My Birthday!

Birthdays have always been a huge deal to me.  The more attention I get, the better!  :)  February always struck me as such a dreary month.  Winter seems to be hanging on forever and my birthday is just around the corner!  I believe it was God-ordained that February is the shortest month!

But THIS year.  February flew by.  I couldn't believe it was March already!  And then, suddenly, it was my birthday!

Last year was a difficult birthday because I turned thirty, and it felt like a real milestone in my IF journey.  I dreaded it.  J made it a special birthday for me, but still, it was difficult.  And now?  I'm 31 and had a baby with a beautiful smile waking up next to me!  Today was...absolutely normal.  I did laundry and stayed home all day.  And yet, it was the best birthday ever.

My only request?  Let me eat my dinner while it's hot!  So here's Daddy feeding Abigail her sweet potatoes!

Confession time.  I make a mess of feeding her off a spoon.  A big mess.  Always did- even with my brothers.  I couldn't wait until J tried it and made a mess, too.  I thought it'd be hilarious.  Turns out- he's better than I am.  WAY better.  Well GUESS who just took charge of feeding someone dinner!

It makes sense anyway, because SOMEONE little and cute whose name begins with an A stares at Daddy the ENTIRE time we eat dinner!  She ADORES him!  I love it.  My two favorite people.  Sigh...
