A little of this and that

PRAYER BUDDY REVEAL!!!
I discovered a new blogger!  I had the privileged of praying for Tess at The Lighthouse!  She has an excellent writing style, whether telling funny stories or revealingly insights into prayer.  Tess, I prayed for your relationship with the Lord, growth as a writer, and vocation as a wife and Mom.  I prayed for healing with your Dad's passing and that you find a solid, insightful spiritual director.  I hope and pray this was a Lent of much growth, and look forward to reading more of your posts.  It was very difficult not to comment while reading, but I didn't want to give myself away!

ABIGAIL'S FIRST EASTER!!!

"Thank you, Aunt Melissa, for the beautiful Easter dress!  I'm so glad Mommy was able to squeeze it on me! "

ANOTHER RADIO OPPORTUNITY!!!
Our local Catholic radio station invited me to spend an hour with them on Wednesday morning to talk about my blog, our fertility struggles and adoption story!  It will be Wednesday morning from 8-9 CST and you can listen live HERE.

I have not forgotten about my series on the Power of the Tongue.  We're still nursing Abigail back to health and I haven't had the mental energy to continue!  But continue I will!

Many Easter Blessings to you!!!  Alleluia, He is risen!!!

Happy Easter!

One of the neat things about being a military family away from home is that OTHER military families are also away from home!  So we all get together!  Our house is a quad so there are four homes to one building.  We called it  house-party day and celebrated the Resurrection of our Lord together.  I suggested dinner and Michelle suggested breakfast, too.  We met at 9:30 with sausage and bacon, homemade cinnamon rolls, amazing strawberry and grape salad with a red wine/balsamic vinegar reduction sauce, spinach quiche and orange julius.  YUM!!!  We hung out for a couple of hours then did our own thing- mostly nap!  Some of us went for a walk along the beach to make room for dinner.  Unfortunately I didn't take any pictures of breakfast.  Shoot!  Everyone came back over around 4 and we had an amazing dinner of ham, mashed potatoes, potato salad, creamy corn spoon-bread, and asparagus with hollandaise sauce.  It was so good!

Happy Easter, Friends!

He Is Risen!
