Oklahoma Visit

Since we're moving in the middle of the school year, I'm not teaching this year. It's strange to see school back in full swing and not be in the classroom. I decided to go visit my old school and see my kids. I felt like a celebrity as I walked in the door of the cafeteria! I was mobbed and overwhelmed with hugs! It's a good feeling to be so loved. I went back and forth between recess with the second graders and lunch with the first graders. We had a wonderful visit. It was sooooo good to see them. The best part was the second grade teacher telling me the current class was the best prepared class she'd ever seen. I worked so hard developing a new reading program and found such great success with it. I was thrilled to see the progress the kids made and even more thrilled that it showed after a long summer!

While in town, I called my friend Carey to see her and her son Ben! Isn't he a doll? He's fourteen months now. Hard to believe!

Before I left, I went to see my friend LeAnn and her kids. They're all getting so big! Here's me with John.

Why did I not know you were in Oklahoma? Were you only here while we were gone? I wish we could have seen you. We will see you soon though!
