When feeding the ducks is scary...

A few days after baby Hannah was born.

Enjoying her first birthday cake!!!
And look at her now!!!! She's such a big girl! Almost TWO, she has an amazingly advanced vocabulary and is putting together such sweet and hilarious sentences. This girl can talk up a storm and tell you how she's feeling! "Hannah is mad, mad! Hannah want to tell Jesus!" She LOVES to sing and dance and can giggle for hours!!!! WHAT A NIGHTMARE!!! We thought it'd be fun to go feed the ducks! We drove to the pond and loaded up with water, camera, bread, and more. We walked down to the water, but the ducks were not there! So we walked along the banks of the pond. Upon cresting a hill, we discovered the ducks. AND the geese. OUT of the water. And when the geese saw US, they smiled in their geese-like manner. "Oh look! Bread!" They seemed to honk. "We like bread! Can we have bread? Here, I'll take some bread!" Closer and closer they came. I grabbed Hannah and we retreated. I set Hannah down in safety, than marched out towards the oncoming ducks. Waving my arms like a crazy person and shouting "Get out of here ducks" I summoned all my courage and faced the ducks. Then, one of them opened his mouth and hiss/growled at me. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Geese can hiss? Oh yes, my friends, this one could. Thinking it must have been a fluke, I again attempted to scare the geese back. Again, I was hissed at. We decided a full-fledged retreat was in demand, so we grabbed Hannah and ran to the car. Laughing so hard we were crying, Hannah continued to ask from the backseat, "Feed the ducks, Mama! Feed the ducks?" "No, no, Hannah. We don't feed SELFISH ducks. Those ducks were GREEDY." Now, when they run through the list of "what does a _____ say?" they can ask, "Hannah, what do ANGRY GEESE say?" "HISSSSSS!"
Twins in our polk-a-dot dresses!

Wow, Hannah looks just like Emily... and somehow just like Tim, too. She's a cutie!
