This year was my first Thanksgiving away from my family. I was a bit nervous about this, and feeling a little homesick, but I'm SO glad we went to North Carolina with
JC's family. I got to meet several new relatives, including his
Grandmother and sister! And of course, I got to spend time with two of my favorite people in the world, Justin and Bernadette! Here we are cooking our pies for the feast. Bern and I put the boys to work! (

JC peeled the apples and Justin sliced them for the apple pie. (It was a huge hit, too!)
Dad helped, too!!! He stirred like crazy to get my butter-sugar to cream! (And the fudge pie was delicious as a result!!) Bern made a super-yummy pumpkin pie that everyone loved!
I love my sister-in-law!
