God is so faithful.
Last year, when I began dreading turning 30, part of my concern was that I knew we'd be moving and wondered if I'd even have any friends to help me celebrate. It's my first birthday away from my family and friends- and a big birthday at that!
But wow- God provided. Last night our house was filled with people to help us celebrate. We had such a good time. The theme was a murder mystery. Everyone was assigned a character and given clues and we had to figure out who the murderer was! We had a GREAT time. I'd always wanted to participate in a party like that and figured- why not throw our own?! It was a learning experience, and I already want to plan #2 now that I know what to expect. Maybe we'll make it an annual thing... :)
Jenny, Dawn, Mike, Albert, Robin, Kim
...hiding in the back are Megan and Leslie
Brandy- my first friend here!
She was a total doll and insisted on bringing two HUGE salads and bread to serve with my Mom's famous lasagna! Thank you, Brandy!!!
The girls!
My lovely neighbors- Michelle and Amy!
They make living here so fun! I LOVE having great neighbors!!!
For an ice-breaker, everyone made a tombstone for me with a personalized epitaph. It was so funny to see what people wrote! Here are a few:
Ok- so I forgot to take a picture last night with all the food...but aren't the plates cute?! :)
