Must have been a wrong number...

Because she didn't choose us.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
My heart sighs and hurts...especially with my sweet husband so far away and the inability to comfort each other with our arms.
She said she adored us, but that she felt like we were too far away.
Oh, and I'm cramping, too.  Code for you know what...just adding insult to injury.  I thought I might have been, but "no" as of this morning.  At least my cramps aren't debilitating as they often are.
I read chapter 2 of The Reed of God this afternoon before the phone call, and one quote is piercing my heart:
We are all asked if will surrender what we are, our humanity, our flesh and blood, to the Holy Spirit and allow Christ to fill the emptiness formed by the particular shape of our life.
The surrender that is asked of us includes complete and absolute trust; it must be like Our Lady's surrender, without condition and without reservation.  (The Reed of God, pg. 35)
Thank you, sweet sisters, for your prayers and kind words.
I don't mind sharing these disappointments and difficult times, because I know you'll rejoice with me that much more when it does happen! The joy of the Resurrection only comes after the pain of the Crucifixion. Looking forward to the Ressurection of our hearts and family during the midst of this pain and sorrow.
I am so sorry, sweetie :( I know that doesn't even suffice right now, but I only wish words could help lift you out of this when I know only the love of God can. Please know you DO have that.
