Saturday night we went out to celebrate our FOURTH anniversary! (*Happy Anniversary, US!!*) We researched restaurants and decided upon an amazing restaurant that got fabulous reviews. It was right on the water and we could sit outside and watch the sun-set while eating the best meal of my life. (I don't set high expectations, or anything...)
My DH (dear husband) had been in Hawaii on business (poor baby!) all week and flew in Friday night. As we're driving to the restaurant, all dolled up and looking good, playing the cd he made me while we were dating, I noticed something. BIG FAT RAIN DROPS. Coming faster and faster. By the time we got the restaurant, the Heavens had opened up. It was dark and miserable and the humidity was going to ruin my hair!!
As he pulled the parking lot, I suddenly announced, "I don't want to go anymore!!" WHAT???? Here's the thing- we rarely go out- and almost NEVER spend big money on a meal. If we were going to do this, I wanted to do it right! I wanted the view! After looking at me skeptically for a minute, my dear, sweet husband of four year (whoop!) turned around and drove back home. But on the way home, he saw a pizza place we both like and suggested we stop there. So we did!
Afterwards, we went home and played a game. Sometimes "Not as planned" anniversary dinners can turn out to be a lot of fun!
oooh la la, your skin is so pretty and glowy! Happy Anniversary L and JC! I was honored and thrilled to stand up for you on the day you began your marriage journey! I love you!
This is so great! I am with you! And, I have normally very frizzy, curly hair, so the hair is always an issue. Thankfully, I live in a desert, so not much humidity.
“Magnify the Lord with me; let us exalt His name together.” summarizes the purpose and mission of our marriage and this blog. Through our marriage and family, we hope to magnify the Lord and bring glory to His name. We married in June of 2006 and thereafter began our journey of infertility and adoption. After three unsuccessful adoptions, we brought home our baby girl, Abigail Chiara, in September of 2010, followed by our precious girl, Gianna Luce, in November of 2011! This blog shares my heart, my life, and what I am learning.
