Random, but as of yesterday I have 53 followers. I have this thing with prime numbers...I don't like them. I'll set the air at 78 or 80- but never 79. The TV volume at 16 or 18, but never 17. It's a thing. An OCD thing perhaps, but a thing. So could somebody else please click follow today? Thank you! :)
You MUST hop over HERE and read this post. Prepare to be humbled and inspired. IT. IS. AWESOME.
One last thing- let's talk comments. I'm actually not rambling on just for the sake of rambling on! I love to hear your thoughts and dialogue with you. So leave a comment! Let me know what you're thinking! It makes my day.

P.S. Should more than one of you take up my second request...please don't stop at 57. I might have a heart-attack...

That really is funny. I find that my "followers" numbers grow in bunches then stagnate for a bit.
i, too, love comments...but sometimes I'm not sure what to say!
I really enjoyed the post you linked to...inspiring, indeed.
Have a wonderful day, Lauren.
I'm so glad to know that I'm not the only blogger who is shameless enough as to ask for followers. :)
I'm such a comment junkie. I get a little thrill when I see one in my email.
What am I thinking today? I got the kitchen pretty clean yesterday, but the rest of the house fell apart. Time to go take care of the mess.
You're so funny Lauren! There is no way I'd pick out a prime number fast enough to be ocd about it :)
How did I never know this about you?
Ch 3 is ready....also, if you could "follow" my blog too, that would be awesome! I don't have many followers and have no idea how many people read my blog: andrewandjuliesadoptionstory.blogspot.com It would be nice to know who is actually reading it. I started it for family and friends, but have "meet" total strangers that are on my same journey and it is so neat to get to know them!
In Christ,
Julie
I'd love to know who from those countries is reading your blog too!
You crack me up.
p.s. just wrote Ch 4 too
I get readers from those 2 countries too, and have been wondering about them. Thanks for asking about them. I hope they introduce themselves!
Well it worked! haha you zoomed past 53! :) I love comments and followers too! haha What blogger doesn't, right? Thanks for all your wonderful comments on my blog. :)
I hate prime numbers too. I am so glad that all of my kids were all born on even days. They are just so divisible and tidy. :)
It is why I always wanted four kids not three. If we have or adopt another it will have to be two more. :)
Becca- I hide it well...or not. That's why we had 6 girls in the Holleman House- not 5, not 7 but 6! :) Easily divisable.
Julie- I'll check it out!
GIMH and Chasing- I'm sure whoever it is is reading all our blogs- probably in the network somehow...I sure would love to know!
Megan- I know, right?! But if it lands on 57 I might cry... :)
60 Toes- Two more sounds like a fabulous plan to me!!!! Your kids are beyond wonderful. I'm pretty sure the Lord's Army needs two more!!! :) Yea for divisable numbers! :)
I'm your 57th follower. Sorry! If it stops there, I will un-follow. I read you anyway :)
Umm so sorry I didn't do this way earilier. I didn't realize following was a "thing." I just thought it meant people who were reading. One day I will catch up! :):) BYW I made 59 so ditto Morelikeaveragemom, I can unfollow (that is if you walk me through how to do that!). ;-) Love you!!
1) If I wasn't already following and I would make #61, I totally would. Not so you would have a heart attack, but because I'd be looking forward to the phone call that would follow.
2) I know you thought I was in Colorado and Iowa on vacation, but really I was in Malta AND Uganda. Like I always say, there's nothing like a trip to the Mediterranean and Africa with 2 small kids to refresh your soul.
Your reader from Malta is most likely Bernadette - she's a follower on my blog, she is awesome. Keep her in your prayers, she recently had her 3rd m/c.
I also have someone from Uganda but don't have any clue who it is!
Already a follower-so I can't help ya there. But I dislike prime numbers too :)
Ack, you're at 59! Should I make Mike a follower? ;-)
Follower #60, lovely link!!
Wow, I never thought about prime numbers. And, I should beg for more followers! You are bold, and I like that!!
That is sooo funny! I totally understand that. There is a town nearby called Watercolor and their speed limit through this area is 17...not 15 or 20, but 17. HOW ANNOYING IS THAT!!!
Lauren - you KNOW I read your blog religiously! But, I don't always comment in public.
Lee Ann had a friend who had OCD. She counted everything and everything had to be in even numbers (# of items in her purse, # of plates in her cabinets, bowls, etc.. even # of things in her GARBAGE! Don't worry - I don't think you are quite there :) ).
I miss you already! Oh - and had a random thought about homeschooling today... must have been God because I know it wasn't me - he he!
Hey- If you are interested here is my blog. I am not on it much, but do post occasionally.

Love ya. Wish I could help with the numbers thing- but I already follow! :)
Sarah
Hi, first time commentor. I don't have a blog but I have found that I love to read about the journeys of people like me. I am also an infertile Catholic. I would have loved this support while building my family. I am now the proud mommy of 2 little boys. Our family was built through the miracle of adoption. God's plan is always better and the children you will have will be the ones you are supposed to have. We have open ones, if you ever have any questions please let me know. We have experienced the whole gamet of feelings.
Blessings,
Susan
I thought I was already following you but I guess not. I am now though. :) I think I put you at 62 so no more icky prime number. :)
YEA!!!! Karen you're my hero! :) Now I only have to worry about 67. and 71. and 73. Oh dear...
And don't worry MB- I'm definitley not that OCD. YET. :)
Susan- thank you so much!! I love hearing those success stories- and you're right- this group is a life-saver. Amazing blessing!!
You are a funny lady! I did not realize people put that much stock into their followers!!! I don’t put them on my blog or pay attention to them. I also don’t follow b/c if you ever need to leave, people take major offense. (When I was new, I followed anyone and everyone and then later realized my view and their views did't, um, always fit.) However, I am with you on the comments, but I know that I can’t comment on every post so I don’t expect others to on all of mine. I’ve thought about removing the comments, but I’m way too needy right now ;)
Sweet I am comment number 26 that should make you happy. How cool there are people so far away reading your blog and probably drawing inspiration from you! :)
ETA: That's not to say I wouldn't "follow" to help you out in a pinch. Anything for a friend.
. . . . by way of example, I'm commenting again just to even out the number :)
HA HA, Ann! Now I'm making myself a prime number of comments. ALAS!!!
To be fair- I wasn't asking for multiple followers- just one to get me over the prime number. It was there on my dashboard and blog- haunting me...53! You can't make nice rows and columns of 53! I think it's the teacher in me...I like my desks in rows or groups.
Then again- I've been sorting my M&Ms and keeping them in order since I was a little girl.
So perhaps it's just the OCD after all. :)
Lauren – Believe me. I don’t think life makes sense unless everything is in 90 degree angles, neat stacks, and evenly divisible by 2 ;) We’re kin, you and me.
Oh, don't get me started on my particular neuroses - it is not pretty. Prime numbers seems VERY tame! In regards to the followers - I don't use Google reader, I just check to see new posts in my blog roll. But I know that some people keep updated via those types of feeders, so I think they can come in handy. (Oh my, I just realized I am at 31 for my followers. I think you started something....)
And seriously, I can't get away from prime numbers, I just noticed that my last comment was #31. So here you go...#32. Geesh...I am tired, I need to go to bed! ;)
I'm a follower now!
Okay, dear. I'm #66. I found you from Michelle's blog. Love the name and thought I'd see what you're about. I like what I see.

I don't have "followers" listed on my blog, because there isn't anyone following me, and well...that's just a tad embarrassing to look at. Maybe one day. ;o)
When I was younger I was a bit obsessed with even numbers. Now, I try not to think about it, because it will make me crazy and only adds to my other obsessive traits. LOL!!!
Maybe I should ask for followers, although I'm not sure I have much of anything to say that is worth sharing.
God Bless! Have a wonderful day.
I already have you on my google reader but I'll become a "follower" if your number goes prime again. :)
You sort M&M, eh? Since you fessed up to that, I won't say anything about your underwear or your underwear drawer!
You are such a dork! :D
Can I be honest?
1. You're blog is wonderful! I'm glad I found it. :)
2. This has been bugging me a bit, but I really don't mean it in a rude/nasty way. Asking for comments and followers is perfectly acceptable (especially when you've so obviously taken the time to supply superb content!), but it would be nice (especially if that person has left a few comments) to may take a few seconds to visit their blog and return the favor.
