My NOT-SO-BORING Wall!

A couple of months ago, I posted a picture of my boring wall and asked for advice!  You all had wonderful ideas.  I felt so inspired!!  But in the end, I had to go with easy and amazing.  Lisa  found our marriage verse as a decal!!!  How amazing is that!  I had to order it from SINGAPORE!  Woah.

So am I done?  Does it need a little something?  Lisa suggested maybe hanging three plate horizontally beneath the quote?  (My plates coordinate with the lamp.)   I'm so pleased with how it turned out!

And since I'm posting kitchen pictures, apparently there's more than one Leila!  Like Mother, Like Daughter challenged bloggers to make the space above their kitchen sink pretty.  So here are a couple pictures of what's above my kitchen sink- opposite the not-so-boring wall!  (My kitchen is very bright...I'm not sure why this picture turned out so dark!)

Now hop on over to see other kitchen sinks!  Love Ginny's...

Note the Saint Gerard prayer that my wonderful prayer buddy gave me!  Thanks, Airing the Chapel!)

Oh my gosh, I am freaking out at how nice that looks!!!! Perfect!! I need to never look at your blog or Ann's or GIMH's again! You guys are so good at this beautification thing!

Yes, there is another much more impressive Leila on the blogs! I actually learned one amazing thing from her: If you keep on top of meals and laundry, then life is pretty much good. And it's true!

Popped over from the kitchen linky, and got sucked into your adoption journey. Praising God with you that you finally brought home a baby, after so much heartache. Thank you for sharing so honestly. I see you with a great big family in the future. :)

I love the wall! It looks great!

I'm curious about those wall decals--I have seen them around but never tried them. Would they stick to my walls, which are all flat painted and somewhat textured?

Wow! Love how neat and tidy your house is with a newborn!

You impress me!

I think the plate idea is a good one!

Oh it looks great!

Been thinking of this--I think if you do plates on the wall, you should ditch the lamp. I think the lamp would mess up the line.

If the kitchen is so bright, is the lamp needed?

Well...it's not ALWAYS bright here! Sun goes down early, ya know... And the lamp is one of my prized possessions...if I prized possessions! It's gorgeous!!!! It's a Spode lamp, a wedding gift and really special to me! :)

Thanks for the feedback!

I think a blue plate collection would be great hanging below. Also, I like the idea of adding some green - like 3 small bay laurel wreaths? Or a plant next to the lamp? I LOVE the lamp...but then again I think I love most ALL lamps. As it turns out, I have a thing for them:) It looks wonderful Lauren! Just wonderful! Happy homemaking hon!

It suits you to a T! Everything is so bright and pretty. I can't really decorate above my kitchen sink. Little jealous over here ;)

The quote on the wall looks GREAT!! And if you always keep the lamp on the table, then yes I would add the plates :) Love getting sneak peaks of people's homes! It's so inspirational!

I didn't mean ditch as in toss in the trash. Maybe just relocate.

Just a thought.

It's a very pretty lamp.

My kitchen window is extremely boring at the moment... I should do something about that! :)

I love the idea of adding some greenery in with the plate idea-- it would make your prayer area so cool and serene!
