The doctor called last night and Abigail does have the early stages of pneumonia. But she slept GREAT last night for the first time in a week and that seems to have done her a world of good. She still hates her nebulizer treatments, but does this girl look sick to you?

Awww, look at widdle Abigail!!! That looks like a child who is on the mend to me! Continued prayers for her complete and quick recovery...
Awesome! I can't wait to listen to it!
She is just stunningly beautiful.
Her precious beauty amazes me every time I see her. I have a place in my heart for dark skin and curly hair!!
POOR BABY! I can't believe she is so so sick-- she looks happy as ever! Hope she feels better soon!
So glad she feels better! I will listen to your interview tonight when the girls go to bed. Can't wait!

Ted and I just listened to it! We went through all of Abigail's pictures on facebook and just smiled while looking at her and listening to her story. I was moved to tears more than once!
What a beautiful witness you are Lauren! I know the Lord will allow me to meet you one day.
I'm so sad she is sick!! I hope she gets better quick and all of you start sleeping well again.
Oh, and I love that outfit. One of my favs :)
So glad you posted the link! My hubby missed it on his way to work and I can't get Sirius or XM at home.
That little squirt! So stinkin' cute! 7 months already...wow! She's like Jack...you'd never know that kid is sick. Such a trooper!
I am listening right now! AH!!! Love this. You are a great interviewee. :)
You are so graceful and beautifully eloquent! I've been following your blog for a while, but never commented. Thank you so much for sharing this interview here!
Your words in this interview have spoken straight to my heart. My husband and I are in the process of adopting for the second time, and have recently experienced a failed adoption. Although I know the great joys of adoption (we adopted my daughter 18 mos ago - what a blessing!), the heartache of a failure is almost indescribable. And you're right about how nobody really knows how to respond to it.
We do remain hopeful in the Lord's plan for our family. You put it best saying "God can bring beauty from ashes." Feel free to read more about my story at my new blog http://renewingmoments.blogspot.com/
By the way, Abigail is absolutely precious, and completely blessed to be YOUR daughter!
woo hoo I am so excited to listen to this!!!!!
WOW THAT BABY IS GORGEOUS!!!
I'm glad she is feeling better (or at least it appears she is? I hope so!!!)
That precious pretty girl needs to be in ads or commercials or something to showcase that beauty talent!!! What a doll :)
Can't wait to download the file and listen on my ipod, thanks for the link :)
Can't wait to listen! And your little one- so precious! Hope she feels better soon!
OH MY GOSH! I could jump through the screen! She is sooooo precious!!! I mean, wow. Look at her glow!!!
Abigail is absolutely beautiful!! Jim and I were talking about your interview this morning. We were so sad that we missed it on the radio, and we were wondering whether we could find it to listen to it - J.C. to the rescue! We can't wait to listen.
God bless you all!!
I saw your post on WAGI and just want to say why on earth would you do an open adoption? Are you that desperate? You will never really be that child's parent in an open adoption. Also, what happens when mom either decides she wants to have more time and involvement then you agreeded too or decided when the kid if 6 to just disappear?
Anonymous,
Why did we chose open adoption? The post you read began to answer that question, but I would love to write "the rest of the story" now that we are in an open adoption and not just contemplating it. I will write a whole post just for you! Stay tuned!
