First Mother's Day

What a difference a year makes.

Last year we had JUST lost Isaiah a few days before.  I could hardly get out of bed and absolutely dreaded the recognition of Moms at Mass.

This year I was awakened by a tiny arm hitting my face, soon followed by a kick in the ribs.  I sleepily rolled over to convince my girl that five more minutes really would be nice.  Luckily, she agreed, and raised it to an hour!

What a difference a year makes.

Yes my sunglasses are falling off my head, but it's still a cool picture!
J spoiled me with roses, homemade truffles and a potted herb garden!  Abigail just spoiled me.  We had a fun fondue dinner featuring marinara sauce with gooey mozzarella cheese at the bottom.  We dipped roasted mushrooms, sauted zucchini slices and whole wheat (but not homemade) ravioli.

Our Family!
I dedicated my Mass intentions for all those who long to be a mother- especially a friend who has suffered a huge loss this year.  Julie summed it up well here, but for all those women who long to be mother, who have suffered from infertility, miscarriages, adoption loss, or loss of a child, for those birth mothers and those who have suffered an abortion, - YOU were heavy on my mind, in my heart and in my prayers.

Happy (belated) Mother's Day to all who are Mothers in their hearts.

Your family is so beautiful!! I love the picture of you and Abigail (with your sunglasses falling off)! You are just beaming and so is she!!

Yes, what a difference a year makes. I am so sorry for your loss of Isaiah. I pray that you will not suffer any more losses in your family!!

OH, and I pray that we get to meet up some day (sooner rather than later). I am tempted to just get on a plane and come to FL!!

Happy Mother's Day! You are so blessed to be a Mama!

Thank you so much for thinking of and praying for us ladies who would love to be Mamas, but are having difficulty conceiving (I have endometrosis stage four). I really appreciate it!

You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers!

Love,
Maria In Mass
