A Party that's Out of This World!

 Can you believe my sweet baby girl is TWO?!?!?  Since she's so fascinated with all things space we had an astronaut birthday party for her!  My friend Kelly made her the adorable shirt she's wearing!

We kept snacks simple, but still made them fun.  The main course was "rocket dogs"!

Yes, the fruit formerly known as grapes...

My heart soars with love for this future astronaut!!!

She's been singing "Happy Birthday" to herself ever since!

For a game we gave her a "stomp rocket".  This was a HUGE hit. They had so much fun!

Abigail, you are precious beyond words.  You are so full of life, energy and happiness.  You have a million expressions and can always make us laugh.  The joy of the Lord is truly in your heart!  And it's contagious- Gianna lights up when you're around, and she looks for you when you're not.  You are so thoughtful and are always picking out toys or stuffed animals for Gigi to play with while I change your diaper or when you're busy.  After all- she needs some entertainment when you're not around, right?!  Your beautiful smile lights up the room.  

And my, oh my, do you ever have an adventurous spirit!  You can do things at the playground that four year olds can't do.  You were determined to climb the dome and tried again and again.  And now you can make it almost to the top!  You're amazing!!!

If anyone ever asks you what you want to do, the answer is always "Chase, chomp! Chomp!"   Sometimes when I walk in your room in the morning, the first thing you say to me is "Chase, chomp! Chomp!?"  We go round and round the dining room table with me singing, "I'm gonna get you, Abigail, chomp! Chomp!"  For months Gianna has been in my arms or sitting on the sidelines watching, but lately she's getting in on the action, which you think is absolutely hilarious.


You have an encouraging heart.  You're always clapping for Gigi and cheering for her.  At dinner you say, "So yummy, Mommy" after every bite.  When Daddy comes home from work, you run to him and give him a big hug.  You bless us each and every day!!


Your vocabulary is exploding and you can put 3 and 4 word sentences together, thanks to some speech therapy!  You pray with us by filling in the last word of all our prayers, "Our Father, who art in ____".  On your birthday, I kissed you, breathed you in, and said, "Thank you, Jesus."  And you finished, "For Abigail".  Yeah- I might have said that phrase a time or two...or a million times!!!  Every day I have to pinch myself.
