Releasing Sam and Grace

Many of you know about the adoption that didn't happen last fall. During that time, the Lord really pressed it into our hearts that we are to pray for these sweet twins as if they were our own children. We pray for them multiple times during the day and frequently say the Rosary for them. Yesterday I picked up Stormie OMartian's The Power of a Praying Parent again. Day 2 prayer is so applicable and brings me such encouragement.

"Lord, I come to you in Jesus' name and give Sam and Grace to you. I'm convinced that You alone know what is best for him and her. You alone know what he and she needs. I release them to You to care for and protect, and I commit myself to pray for everything concerning them that I can think of or that You put upon my heart. Teach me how to pray and guide me in what to pray about. Help me not to impose my own will when I'm praying for them, but rather enable me to pray that Your will be done in his and her life." Lord, I release Sam and Grace to you and trust them to your keeping. Unite us one day and let them know the love we have had for them their whole lives.
