Anyway, they offered for me to hold him and after being SURE it was okay with M, I took him.
HE IS SO SMALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
J held him, too. Then I took him back. I'm greedy. :) Then the nurse came in and asked if I wanted to give him a bottle, to learn how. Again,- I deferred to M, but she said go ahead. I made sure it was okay with her but felt comfortable with her agreement.
He is so sleepy and hard to feed. The nurse said the nurses are doing well if they get 10 mLs in him.
BUT I GOT 20!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We didn't take pictures- J thought it would be too pushy to ask her. We already got WAY more than expected. But her friends were really happy to meet us- especially her best friend. She jumped off the bed and threw her arms around me when she realized who we were!! WOW!
I think it was really good for M to see us in the nurturing role.
I'm feeling good. Scared to death, but feeling good.
This is a lot to take in...
And for all you sweet peas telling us to take care of ourselves, we are! My best friend and I got a pedicure today. :) We might go see a movie tomorrow. Thanks for looking out for us!
