Small Update- Nothing Major

RATS!!!!  So much for September 8.

But two good pieces of information:

1) The social worker finally made contact with the baby's grandma today. They've been playing phone tag back and forth. She is supportive and has NO plans or desire to interfere or suggest a different plan.



2) The social worker talked to birth mom today and she's still very confident and positive in her adoption plan. She does not seem to be wavering in any way.

No news on the birth dad. 

J is super busy at work, so he's hoping the baby's late. I told him he doesn't get a vote. :) I'm busy as well, so the waiting hasn't been too hard. I went to L.owes today and rented a steam cleaner for the couches and rugs, steel wool and wax to buff some place on the floors, light sockets and wire to fix two lamps that broke in the move, and screws to replace some that are missing in our chairs.  Is this what they call NESTING???  :)  Whatever it's called, it's distracting me!  Please pray that we can keep our focus on this moment and meet the Lord here.

Not much else to say.  Just praying very hard for a friend who's in the drama of signing right now with a birth mom who is wavering.
