Thank you all for your encouragement and sweet words yesterday and today. It felt good to know I'm not alone, and that she'll survive my maniac moments!!!
Last week we went to MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) for the first time. I've had friends who've just loved it and thought it'd be a good way to meet people. Abigail went off to her own class and had a total blast. I couldn't believe how good she was for them! And she learned her first memory verse!!! Here she is reciting it. I'll translate, "Continue praying, keeping alert, and always praising God." Colossians 4:2
A couple days later I opened my Bible to show her where it is and read the context of the verse. It was already underlined! And it had a note out to the side- 4/10 Adoption. Suddenly I remembered perfectly! I was in Adoration, praying for the child we longed for and asking God to speak a Word to me. I felt Colossians 4:2 in my heart and looked it up. It spoke volumes to me and really encouraged my heart! Five months later, she was born and in my arms. And now my sweet baby girl comes home with this very verse in her heart. Praise God for answered prayers!!!

Oh my Lauren! If that's not God saying "Wait a second, you're not ready for an outpouring of My grace just yet. But tomorrow you will get a doosey!" I don't know what is!
Now...that seems like a message sent straight from our loving Father. WOW!
That is beautiful! I am a little late in posting a comment on your last post, but you are certainly not alone in what you were going through. I know I have had my days, but luckily they pass and I don't usually have two bad days in a row. Sometimes we are just joltingly reminded of our humanity and it reminds us to keep pushing forward - there is always room to grow. Praying for you in your transition to your new home. It is hard to start over, but knowing your personality, I have no doubt you will be making friends soon. Have a good weekend!
God is so good! I agree with Kaitlin -- God throws you some awfully good doosies, doesn't He?
Beautiful!!!!!! Grace of God!!!
WOW! That brings tears to my eyes.
What are the chances??!! It is definitely a word from the Lord.
So amazing!!! She is so adorable.
I am thrilled to hear the MOPS went well for you!!! Yay!!! We all need a break. I learned that early on.
I meant to comment on your last post, too. Little L has given us a RUN FOR OUR MONEY!! Love her to pieces, but MAN! When its late, we are all tired, and she decides to start it up at night, I just cannot do it. I have my limits. Its SO hard. We are STILL battling bedtime so I have no advice except you are not alone and I have lost it too. Sigh:( I will say, however, that I am learning A LOT about mothering through her. She is really, really teaching me how to die to myself. Which is a good thing.
BEAUTIFUL!!!!
That's awesome!!
WOW!!! Just. WOW. <3
